Gujarat Murder: A sensational case of the brutal murder of a minor girl had come to light in Gujarat. Here in Rajkot, a man killed a minor girl by stabbing her 34 times because the girl had refused the man to enter into a relationship. Regarding this matter, a court in Rajkot has sentenced the person accused of murder to death and has termed the incident as ‘rarest of the rare case’.
This incident happened two years ago
The incident of the murder of a minor girl is of the year 2021. The 26-year-old accused in the case, Jayesh Sarvaiya, had also injured the brother of the girl who had come to intervene during the attack. Thereafter, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. The accused Jayesh Sarvaiya and the minor girl were residents of Jetalsar village in Jetpur taluka. Jayesh Sarvaiya was harassing the victim for a long time.

On March 16, 2021, the accused Jayesh Sarvaiya took the proposal to the minor girl’s house and the girl refused. Enraged by the girl’s decision to reject the proposal, the accused thrashed the girl. When the girl tried to run away, she was stabbed 34 times. The incident angered the local people and they demanded that the accused be hanged.
rarest of the rare case
The Nirbhaya case was defined as the rarest of the rare case by the Supreme Court because it violated collective conscience. Special Public Prosecutor Janak Patel said that the court sentenced the accused Jayesh Sarvaiya to death under section 302 of the IPC and imposed a fine of Rs 5,000. It was a kind of murder that shook the whole community and hence it was taken seriously. The convict has been given one month’s time to appeal.
