The main accused in the famous Dabhaura Bank scam of Rewa district has been arrested. It was told that the accused, who was absconding for 7 years in Dogra Hanuman temple under Vishwavidyalaya police station, was cutting absconding in the temple by disguising himself as a monk. He is the main facilitator of embezzlement of 16.54 crores. The case was registered in March 2015 at Dabhaura police station. But due to the involvement of top to bottom officials, the case was handed over to the CID.
CID DSP Aslam Khan said that late on Friday evening, SP Navneet Bhasin got information from an informer about the main facilitator of the Dabhaura Bank scam being hidden in the temple. Immediately after getting the input from the SP, the CID team raided the said temple. Where 68-year-old Abhay Kumar Mishra son Ram Ashram Mishra was arrested. During interrogation, the accused said that to escape from the police, he had become a monk in the temple. Don’t know how the police found it.
Rewa’s biggest scam
Significantly, in the year 2015, the cooperative bank Dabhaura shifted from manual banking to core banking. In such a situation, 16.54 crores were transferred from bank management to the account of clerks and their grand relatives. According to the CID, Abhay Kumar Mishra is the uncle of the then cashier and then the brass manager Ramkrishna Mishra. A total of 24 accused were made in this case. In which two people were left out of the wrong name. In such a situation, 22 accused are called at present. 18 accused have already been caught. The 19th accused is Abhay Kumar Mishra. Three accused are absconding in this case.
