Himachal Congress party seems helpless without six-time Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. Congress has been exercising for 45 days regarding ticket in the state. Still not able to decide all the tickets.
Even today, the rounds of meetings were going on in Delhi for 22 seats but the tickets still could not be decided. The Congress high command is also unable to take a decision under the pressure of the state leaders. Due to this, the wait for the ticket is increasing and there is very less time left for filling the nomination.
The Congress has declared its candidates on 46 seats but could not take any decision on 22 seats.
In Delhi, meetings between Mukul Wasnik, Deepa Das Munshi, Rajeev Shukla, State President Pratibha Singh, Leader of Opposition Mukesh Agnihotri and Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu continued throughout the day, but most of the tickets are still not agreed upon.
3 seats on hold due to opposition from Young Brigade
If sources are to be believed, efforts are being made to agree on giving tickets to Youth Congress leaders on one or two seats. Due to the opposition of Young Brigade, the ticket of Kinnaur’s sitting MLA Jagat Singh Negi and former minister Thakur Singh Bharmauri has been held from Bharmour. Similarly, the ticket of Sarkaghat was also not issued in the first list due to the protest of the youth.
Youth Congress President Negi Nigam Bhandari from Kinnaur Assembly, Youth Congress General Secretary Surjit Bharmouri from Bharmour and Yudopati Thakur, Working President of Youth Congress from Sarkaghat are seeking tickets. At the same time, Rangeela Rama Rao has warned to leave the party if the ticket is not available in Sarkaghat. The third contender here is Pawan Thakur of Sukhu faction, who also contested the 2017 election on a party ticket.

Kinnaur, Bharmour, Shimla Urban, Hamirpur, Chintpurni, Gagret, Kutlehar, Nalagarh, Paonta Sahib, Indora, Dehra, Jaisinghpur, Sullah, Kangra, Manali, Ani, Karsog, Nachan, Jogendranagar, Dharampur, Candidates from Bilaspur, Sarkaghat seat have not been announced yet.
