In view of the festivals in Deoria, the Food Safety and Drug Administration team conducted an investigation campaign for safe food grains and edible oils to the general public.
In compliance with the order given by the District Magistrate, on the upcoming Diwali, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj festival, pure and safe food and beverages especially khoya, namkeen, dry fruits, edible oil and vegetable, ghee, various types of sweets, colorful Inspected shops of sweet toys, other food items etc. The team inspected a total of 5 establishments in Sadar Tehsil and collected 5 samples as part of the inspection drive.

Inspection team Gaurav Prasad Madheshia, Inspector Sandeep Kumar Srivastava from Near Over Bridge took samples of Khoya, Inspector Subhesh Kumar from Gurudev Sweets & Bakers Kasaya Road sampled Chhena’s sweets, Food Inspector from Zaika Restaurant & Pizza Point, Civil Lines Ajit Kumar Tripathi took the sample of paneer, food inspector Manish Mall from The Orion Pvt Ltd restaurant, CC Road sampled the cheese, Ranjan Kumar Srivastava from Balaji Sweets Kasaya Road Gayatripuram collected the sample of chhena sweets.
Samples will be sent for testing
The collected samples are being sent to the Food Analyst Laboratory, Jhansi. On receipt of the test report, legal action will be taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006.
What did the Assistant Commissioner Food say, Assistant Commissioner Food Ramesh Chandra Pandey told that the food team was led by Food Safety Officer Sandeep Kumar Srivastava, other team members Ranjan Kumar Srivastava, Food Safety Officer, Ajit Kumar Tripathi, Food Safety Officer, Subhesh Kumar, Food Safety Officer, Manish Mall, Food Safety Officer were present. This campaign will run till 22 October.
