TCS Q2 Results: The country’s largest IT company TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) has declared the results for the second quarter of the 2022-23 financial year. The company’s profit has been 8 percent higher than the same quarter in the previous year. In the second quarter of 2022-23, TCS’s profit has been Rs 10,431 crore, while in the second quarter of 2021-22, the company’s profit was Rs 9624 crore. At the same time, the profit in the first quarter of the current financial year is 10 percent higher than Rs 9478 crore. TCS has also announced dividend to the shareholders. The company will pay a second interim dividend of Rs 8 per share to its shareholders.
TCA’s board meeting was held in which the dividend was stamped after which the results were announced. TCS’ revenue during the second quarter grew by 18 per cent to Rs 55,309 crore. Whereas the revenue in the same quarter last year was Rs 46,867 crore. At the same time, the revenue in the first quarter of this financial year was Rs 52,758 crore.
TCS said that it has a workforce of 616171 people in which 9840 new people have been hired during the second quarter. The number of employees leaving the company during the second quarter has been high. The attrition rate stood at 21.5 per cent in the September quarter, up from 17.4 per cent in the same quarter last year and 19.7 per cent in the first quarter of this fiscal. TCS has expressed the hope that the attrition rate may come down from here.
After the close of the market, the results of TCS have been declared for the second quarter. On the other hand, at the end of today’s trading, the share of TCS closed at Rs 3,121 with a gain of 2 per cent.
