SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal reached Gurdwara Manji Sahib of Alamgir Sahib in Ludhiana, Punjab on Monday. Badal addressed a meeting of SGPC members here. Sukhbir Singh Badal has said that there will be a strong fight to thwart a deep conspiracy to break the Khalsa Panth Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC).
Badal said that justifying Haryana’s SGPC committee is a direct attack on the Sikh sect. He told the sangat gathered in the Gurudwara that the time has come that we will have to prepare ourselves for a continuous movement to get back our just rights.
Badal said the Hooda government passed an Act to justify the management of Gurdwaras in Haryana to a separate Management Committee and the Congress government of former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and the present government led by Bhagwant Mann have taken an anti-SGPC stand in the court. Aam Aadmi Party has stabbed him in the back.
He said that the present BJP-led government was working to weaken the SGPC in court and had taken over the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) under this strategy.
Badal said the Shiromani Akali Dal was ready to take up the issue in court besides opposing the move. He said a declaration of conflict would be made after a meeting of the General House of the SGPC on 30 September.
Badal said that the decision of the Supreme Court is not accepted by the SGPC because this decision is not correct. There has been a tussle with the Sikh Panth. This conspiracy is of all three parties. First of all Congress made the Act. The BJP supported and now what the Chief Minister of Aam Aadmi Party has said in the Supreme Court is tantamount to stabbing the back.
SGPC President Harjinder Singh Dhami said that the way the central government is interfering in the religious matters of the Sikh community, there is anger among the entire Sikh community. With the cooperation of the sangat, a big decision can be taken in the coming days.
