Stock Market Opening: Today, the first trading day of the week in the Indian stock market is witnessing rapid business. The upper levels of Sensex and Nifty were indicating a good start to the trading week and it happened. Trade is also being seen above 59900 in Sensex and levels near 17900 are being seen in Nifty.

In the opening of the stock market today, the BSE 30-share index Sensex opened at 59,912 with a gain of 119.15 points or 0.20 percent. On the other hand, NSE’s 50-share index Nifty has opened at 17,890 with a gain of 57.50 points or 0.32 percent.
Nifty crosses 17900 in opening minutes, Sensex turns 60
As soon as the Nifty opened, the level of 17900 was crossed and it is showing business at 17,920 with a jump of 0.5 percent by 87.55 points in the opening minutes itself. Sensex has also crossed the important level of 60,000 and it is trading at 60,025 by jumping 232.83 points.
Top climbers of Sensex
Top gainers in Sensex are Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Tata Steel, Wipro, TCS, HCL Tech, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Titan, Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Axis Bank. Apart from these, M&M, Bajaj Finance, ICICI Bank, L&T, Nestle, Maruti, IndusInd Bank, NTPC, UltraTech Cement and ITC are also showing gains.
Top losers of Sensex-Nifty
These include Kotak Mahindra Bank, HUL, HDFC and HDFC Bank, Power Grid and Asian Paints. On the other hand, the biggest losers of Nifty are Shree Cement, HDFC Life, UltraTech Cement, Asian Paints and SBI.

Out of all 30 stocks of Sensex, 20 stocks are trading with gains and 10 shares are trading with decline, while 37 out of 50 stocks of Nifty are seeing a jump and 13 stocks are seeing red mark of decline.
How was the stock market in pre-opening
Today in the pre-opening, the BSE Sensex was showing trade at the level of 59851 with a gain of 58 points and the NSE Nifty was showing a climb in the green mark. In pre-opening, Nifty was seen trading at 17873 after gaining 40 points.
