Shamgarh Police of Mandsaur has arrested an accused with synthetic narcotic substance SDM. The value of the recovered synthetic drug is said to be around Rs 7.5 lakh.
TI Kamlesh Prajapat told that the police had received information about illegal drug smuggling from the informer. On this basis, the police searched a bike number MP14 MT1886 by blocking a blockade near Nipania Phate of the outpost area by Chandwasa outpost in-charge Gaurav Lad. During this, 150 grams of MDMA synthetic drug was recovered from the possession of the bike rider. The accused was arrested from the spot. During interrogation, the accused has given his name as Sohail Khan father Khane Khan Pathan age 21 years resident of Nataram police station Sitamau Mandsaur. The police have registered a case under the NDPS Act in the matter. From where did the accused bring the illegal narcotics and where he was taking it, it is being questioned.

Recently, the youth of the district has also seen an increasing addiction to synthetic drugs. In many states of the country, the strings of smugglers caught with synthetic drugs were also found connected with the smugglers of the district. Along with opium and dodachura, now the district is also becoming a center for synthetic drug smuggling.
