Delhi Corona: Mayor Dr Shelly Oberoi reviewed the preparedness of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi regarding Corona at the Civic Center on Wednesday (April 5). Earlier, the Mayor visited Hindu Rao Hospital to take stock of the preparations to deal with Corona.
Mayor Dr. Shaili Oberoi said that all the hospitals of Municipal Corporation of Delhi are fully prepared to face Corona. Presently the situation of Kovid-19 in Delhi is completely under control. In such a situation, there is nothing to fear. At present, 3011 beds are available for Kovid patients in MCD hospitals. Out of these 1477 beds have oxygen facility. Mayor Shaili Oberoi said that we are committed to provide better medical facilities to the citizens of Delhi. Deputy Mayor Aale Mohammad Iqbal said that like Delhi government hospitals, MCD hospitals are ready to fight Covid.
What did the hospitals say?
Mayor Dr. Shaili Oberoi held a review meeting with the hospitals of MCD at Civic Center. During this, the doctors of the hospitals told that the Municipal Corporation of Delhi hospitals have enough resources, equipment and medicines to deal with the corona. Oxygen is also in sufficient quantity. Apart from this, a nodal officer has been appointed in each hospital for arrangements related to corona.
What did the mayor say?
Mayor Dr. Shelly Oberoi said that minor symptoms have been seen in the patients of Corona who have just come. Patients are recovering in 3 to 4 days. In such a situation, there is no need to panic. An advisory has also been issued in this regard on 23 March by the Health Department of MCD. I appeal to the people of Delhi to follow the Covid guidelines.
Mayor Dr. Shaili Oberoi also inspected the preparations for prevention of corona at Hindu Rao Hospital of Municipal Corporation of Delhi. During this, he took reports from MS regarding the number of doctors, ventilators, ICU beds, oxygen supply etc. The Medical Superintendent said that there are a total of 258 doctors, 97 ventilators and 8 ICU beds in the hospital.
What did the Medical Superintendent tell?
The medical superintendent told the mayor that the hospital was short of space and needed to be expanded. So that proper seating arrangements can be made for the patients. The Mayor inspected the OPD, Emergency Ward, Surgery Ward, Registration Counter and interacted with the patients in the hospital. Through this, the Mayor took information about the problems being faced in the hospital.
