Punjab Police is searching in Haryana in search of Deepak Tinu, the henchman of Lawrence gang, who escaped from police custody in Punjab. Gangster Deepak Tinu has been involved in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. On Saturday night, he escaped by dodging the Mansa CIA incharge. Punjab Police did not share any information about this search with Haryana or Fatehabad Police.
On Sunday, as soon as the news of the absconding of gangster Lawrence’s partner Deepak Tinu spread, there was a stir in the Punjab Police. Punjab Police hastily started searching for Deepak Tinu by forming different teams. In this sequence, two teams of Punjab Police reached Haryana. These teams raided the Fatehabad area.
After Deepak Tinu’s absconding, Lawrence gang posted on social media calling it a well-planned conspiracy of Punjab Police. The gang in its post threatened the Punjab Police not to do anything wrong with Deepak Tinu.
Fatehabad district shares its borders with Mansa district of Punjab and the activity of Lawrence gang has been in this area in the past, so the police suspected that Deepak Tinu might take shelter in Fatehabad or its surrounding area after absconding from Mansa. On Sunday morning itself, Punjab Police teams raided the possible locations of Lawrence Gang and Deepak Tinu in different areas of Fatehabad district.
Significantly, those who killed Sidhu Musewala had also reached Mansa via Fatehabad. Even at that time, Punjab Police had raided this area several times in search of those who shot Moosewala. On Sunday also, teams of Punjab Police came towards Fatehabad via Sardulgarh in search of Tinu.
Meanwhile, Fatehabad SP Aastha Modi said that no information was given by the Punjab Police to the local police for such a search. The SP said that although it is not necessary that the local police should be involved during the investigation of any case. Some secrets are raided and in such cases the information is not shared in the first place due to the possibility of leaking of information. However, Punjab Police should have tied up with Haryana Police.
