In view of the incessant rains in Agra, a holiday has been declared in the schools for two days. In this regard, the District Inspector of Schools has issued an order. Strict action will be taken against schools not following the order.
It has been raining continuously for two days in the city. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains till October 11. In such a situation, the teachers’ organizations had demanded from the District Magistrate for leave in schools in view of the safety of the children. In such a situation, in view of the weather, the DIOS has issued an order to keep all the schools closed from nursery to 12th on October 10 and 11. During this period, other departmental work including training will be done by the teachers.

More than 70 mm of rain in 24 hours
It has been raining incessantly in Agra since Saturday. It rained all day on Sunday as well. In the last 24 hours, more than 70 mm of rain has been recorded in Agra. In such a situation, in view of the dilapidated condition of the council schools, the teachers’ organizations had demanded leave to avoid untoward incidents. In view of the demand of the teachers’ organizations, the District School Inspector has ordered a two-day leave. DIOS Manoj Kumar says that strict action will be taken against schools that do not follow the order.
