The Supreme Court will pronounce its verdict today on the security lapse of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Punjab. On January 5, the PM’s convoy had to stand for 15 minutes in Ferozepur. After which PM Modi canceled the project and returned to Delhi. In this case, the Supreme Court had constituted an inquiry committee headed by retired Justice Indu Malhotra for investigation. Who also checked the flyover. However, what came out of his investigation has not been made public yet.
Due to a security lapse, the PM stayed on the highway for about 15 minutes in the Highly Sensitive Zone along the Indo-Pak International Border.
Security lapse during Congress government
At the time when there was a lapse in the security of the PM, there was a Congress government in Punjab. Charanjit Channi was the CM of that government. When the PM was going to participate in the rally in Ferozepur, the farmers blocked the highway. Due to which suddenly the convoy of PM got stuck on a flyover. This flyover was also close to the India-Pakistan border. However, CM Channi refused to consider it a security lapse. Channi said that the PM did not get any scratch, then how could his life be in danger?
