Emphasis will be on INSTC project

In this meeting of Samarkand, President Putin’s effort will be to make new doors for Russian business in the wall of sanctions imposed by America and Western countries. In this episode, Russia will also insist on taking forward its ambitious INSTC project i.e. International North South Transport Corridor.

While the dry port of Uzbekistan is to be added to this corridor, the Chabahar port built in Iran with the help of India is also to be added. At the same time, on the pretext of SCO, Russia will also try to create an alternative front of energy business, which includes countries like Iran, Kazakhstan, Turmenistan.

There will be special security arrangements for Putin

Putin’s first foreign trip after the murder of Daria Dugin, daughter of his close and political adviser Alexander Dugin last month, will also be important in terms of security arrangements. Russian security agencies may be aware of Uzbekistan, which was part of the Soviet Union, but strict arrangements are being made regarding Putin’s security circle.

Due to the VIP gathering and security arrangements in Samarkand, the city will be sealed for outside movement from the morning of September 14. Also, this meeting will also be organized in Samarkand Tourism City, which is away from the main city and surrounded by boundary wall. All foreign visiting leaders and their delegations will stay here and will return from here. That is, the circle of security will be kept very tight. It is said that the squad of Putin’s security team has done several rounds of visits and meetings with Uzbek officials in the last few days. Also, the team of Russian intelligence agencies has already put a halt in the hotel where Putin will stay.
