AAP and BJP MLAs raise slogans during the proceedings of the House in the Delhi Assembly on Friday.
Amidst the political ruckus in Delhi regarding Operation Lotus, the Aam Aadmi Party government called a special session of the Legislative Assembly on Friday. AAP MLAs raised slogans of 20 kiosks in the house. BJP MLAs also raised slogans regarding Sisodia’s role in the liquor policy. Hundreds of BJP workers descended on the streets with cutouts of liquor bottles.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will address the House at 2 pm. It is believed that Kejriwal can make a big disclosure on Operation Lotus inside the House.
AAP MLAs missing from Kejriwal’s meeting

A meeting of the legislature party was called at the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday, in which 9 MLAs including Deputy CM Manish Sisodia did not reach. However, regarding Sisodia, the party said that he has gone on a Himachal tour. At the same time, according to sources, the party high command is not even able to contact some of the MLAs.
CBI raid was held at Sisodia’s house
It started on August 19 after the CBI raid on the residence of Deputy CM Manish Sisodia over the liquor policy. A day after the raid, Sisodia claimed that he had received a message from the BJP that if you break AAP, he will make you the chief minister.
BJP said – kept the assembly a joke
Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Ramvir Singh Vidhuri has targeted Arvind Kejriwal for convening a special session of the Assembly. He said- Do not make the assembly a political arena. Vidhuri further said that the one-day special session of the Legislative Assembly called by the Delhi government is like making fun of democracy.
9 AAP MLAs did not attend Kejriwal’s meeting
On Thursday, CM Kejriwal had called a meeting of the Aam Aadmi Party Legislature Party. This meeting lasted for about one and a half hours. Nine party MLAs did not attend the meeting, including Manish Sisodia’s name. However, the party said about Sisodia that he had gone on a Himachal tour, so did not come. At the same time, sources claimed that the high command could not be contacted with many AAP MLAs.
