Robbery on poor ration: Case registered against one for selling depot’s ration, accused arrested, warehouse sealed after getting flammable material

In a joint raid of Police and Food and Supplies Department near Sanjay Colony, Alsan Chowk, two hundred and fifty bags of wheat were caught.

In the case of selling depot ration, the police have registered a case against one of the accused and arrested him. Along with this, the godown getting flammable material has also been sealed. The police have also recovered two and a half sacks of wheat from the possession of the accused. The arrested accused has been identified as Sonu, a resident of Bhagat Singh Colony of Ballabhgarh.

Police Spokesperson Sube Singh said that Crime Branch 65 received information that the wheat sent by the Food Supply Department to the depot holders for distribution to the poor people from the godown near Alsan Chowk was being loaded in a truck. After breaking the government seal on the bag, some people will take it to the mill to earn big profits by filling it in other bags. On information, the Crime Branch team called Inspector Satyanarayan and his team from the Food Supplies Department after giving information. Apart from this, on checking, 18 tanks were found in the godown which smelled like diesel. It is still being investigated which substance is filled in it. The warehouse has been sealed due to the possibility of flammable material. He said that 250 bags of wheat loaded in the truck have been recovered by the police. The accused has been produced in the court and sent to jail.
