Britain Cabinet News: Britain’s new Prime Minister Rishi Sunak appeared in action within an hour of his appointment. According to sources, he asked several members of former PM Liz Truss’s team of ministers to resign before the announcement of his new cabinet. Rishi Sunak met King Charles III of Britain on Tuesday (25 October). King appointed Rishi Sunak as the next Prime Minister of Britain.
So far, four ministers have been asked to step down. These include Business Secretary Jacob Rees-Mogg, Justice Secretary Brandon Lewis, Work and Pensions Secretary Chloe Smith and Development Minister Vicky Ford, the sources said. Rishi Sunak has also announced his cabinet.

He got a place in Rishi Sunak’s cabinet
The Prime Minister’s official Twitter handle tweeted that Dominic Raab has been appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Secretary of Justice. Last week he pledged his support for Sunak. He had said that he did not want Boris Johnson back as prime minister. At the same time, Indian-origin Suella Braverman has returned as the UK Home Minister. Earlier, he had resigned from Liz Truss’s cabinet from the same post. Apart from these, Jeremy Hunt, who has replaced Quasi Quarteng, will continue as finance minister.

Simon Hart appointed chief whip
Simon Hart has been appointed as the new Chief Whip in Rishi Sunak’s cabinet, replacing Wendy Morton. Hart has been MP for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire since 2010 and served as Secretary of State for Wales between 2019 and 2022. Earlier, he had been a junior minister in the cabinet office. He supported his stay in the 2016 referendum. Downing Street says it has reappointed James Cleverley as Foreign Secretary and Ben Wallace as Secretary of Defense of the United Kingdom.
