Rishi Sunak reached Ukraine, met Zelensky, said- ‘We are with you in every way’


Russia-Ukraine War: Rishi Sunak made his first visit to Ukraine after becoming the Prime Minister of Britain. During this he met President Volodymyr Zelensky. Rishi Sunak assured Zelensky of the UK’s continued support. Sunak tweeted, “Britain knows what it means to fight for freedom.” Britain’s PM told Zelensky, “We are with you all the way.”

Indeed, following in the footsteps of both Boris Johnson and Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak has pledged that the UK’s support for Ukraine will continue in the fight against Russia. The Prime Minister has spoken to Zelensky on more than one occasion since entering Downing Street. During this, Zelensky asked the Prime Minister – “How are you?” In the video, both are shown shaking hands in front of the flag of the Union and the flag of Ukraine.
