Collector Shivraj Singh Verma while respecting the centenary and senior voters of the district on the International Day of Older Persons on Saturday said that we will not get the experience of life that the elderly people have even by searching on Google. Therefore, we should spend some time of our life sitting with old people. Wherever they feel good from this, we will get to learn a lot from them. Because their experience is more than ours. So seniors are our heritage, save them.
During this, Collector Shivraj Singh Verma, seeing the laughter on the faces of senior voters, said that this laughter on their face is the secret of their long life. So we should always be smiling and laughing in our life. We should learn from them how to fight with problems and troubles.
During this, seniors including Collector Shivraj Singh Verma, Deputy District Election Officer Dr. Shalini Srivastava, SDM Barwani Ghanshyam Dhangar also participated in video conferencing organized by Election Commission of India and State Election Commission to honor senior voters on International Older Persons Day.
Honored by visiting the house of Shatayu Gendibai, Deputy District Election Officer honored Gendibai Budaji, resident of village Kari of the district on International Day of Older Persons, Deputy District Election Officer Dr. Shalini Srivastava and SDM and ERO Barwani Ghanshyam Dhangar visited his residence. During this, he was also given a shawl, shriphal and a letter of honor received from the Election Commission of India with his name.
70 senior voters honored
On the International Day of Older Persons, 10 centenary voters of Sendhwa Vidhan Sabha of the district, 29 centenary voters of Rajpur, 11 centenary voters of Pansemal assembly and 17 centenary voters of Barwani Vidhan Sabha will be honored by visiting their residence. The same 3 senior voters of Barwani Nagar were honored during the video conferencing. During this, shawls, shriphal and certificates received from the Election Commission of India along with their names were also distributed to the senior citizens.
