Reliance Industries AGM: Reliance Jio will launch 5G services in the country before Diwali. At the same time, the company has tied up with Google to provide cheap mobile handsets to users using 5G service. Addressing the AGM of Reliance Industries, Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance Jio is going to prepare ultra-affordable 5G smartphones for India in collaboration with Google.
Full blueprint of rollout of 5G services presented
Addressing the shareholders at the AGM of Reliance Industries, Mukesh Ambani has presented the complete blueprint of the rollout of 5G services. He said that the 5G network of Reliance Jio will be one of the fastest networks in the world. Even before this, Reliance had tied up with Googan to prepare the JioPhone. Last year, Jio, in association with Google, launched the JioPhone Android smartphone. It was specially prepared for the Indian market and Jio. Now Jio is preparing to launch cheap 5G smartphones in collaboration with Google.
Jio will launch 5G services in the country by Diwali
In July 2021, an agreement was signed between Google and Jio Platforms to develop an entry-level affordable smartphone. Google bought 7.73 percent stake in Jio Platforms for 4.5 billion dollars. Earlier, while addressing the 45th AGM, Mukesh Ambani said that Reliance Jio will launch 5G services in the country by Diwali. He said that first 5G service will be started from four metro cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. After this, 5G service will be available in every corner of the country by the end of 2023. The chairman told that Reliance Jio is going to invest Rs 2 lakh crore for 5G services.
