Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s song ‘Jandi Vaar’ will not release on September 2. Musician Salim Merchant gave this information. He said that Sidhu’s parents want the song not to release yet. Without his blessings the release of this song would be incomplete. So the song will now be released only after consultation with Sidhu’s parents. He said that Sidhu has sung this song from the heart. He was very happy and excited about the song. The song will be released soon.
parents had expressed their objection
Sidhu Musewala was murdered on 29 May. Before that this song was recorded in Chandigarh in January 2021. Salim Merchant announced the release of this song. Sidhu’s father Balkaur Singh and mother Charan Kaur objected to this. He said that he is currently engaged in the fight for justice. His focus is not on releasing the song. He appealed to Salim Merchant not to release the song yet.
First SYL song has been banned
His SYL song came after Moosewala’s murder. In which he raised many controversial issues including the captive Sikh, SYL canal. After which this song was banned in India on YouTube. However, the Central, Punjab and Haryana governments did not provide details as to why the song was banned.
