Who is Anwar Ibrahim
Anwar Ibrahim will take oath as the 10th PM of Malaysia. He has been the deputy PM of the country in the 1990s. He is also called a reformist leader. Also, he has gone to jail on charges of corruption, but he called it politically motivated. Anwar was also the Prime Minister in waiting in 2018.

What was the result of the election?
In the general election held in Malaysia on Saturday, Anwar Ibrahim’s coalition party Pakatan Harapan won 82 seats, while 112 seats (total 222) were needed for a majority. At the same time, the party led by former PM Muhiuddin Yasin won 73 seats.
