Kullu Dussehra: The tableaux of the gods and goddesses remain the attraction

Along with Kullu, hundreds of Gods and Goddesses of Kharhal, Ujhi Valley, Banjar, Sainj, Rupi Valley will reach here to enhance the beauty of Dussehra. The interesting thing is that the deities of Bahri Saraj Ani-Nirmand will reach Dussehra after traveling a long distance of 200 kms. The event will be held at the historic Dhalpur ground. This time Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend the event. Here he will make several announcements.
Bastar Dussehra: Maharaja Purshottam started the tradition 622 years ago
In Bastar, from the second day of Navratri to Saptami, this chariot, which is circumambulated on Maiji’s ride (Doli Chhatra), is known as Full Rath.
The tradition of the historical Dussehra of Bastar continues for 622 years. According to the historians of Bastar, this tradition was started by King Purshottam Dev in 1400 AD. Maharaja Purshottam of Bastar had attained the title of Rathapati by visiting Jagannath Puri. In Bastar, from the second day of Navratri to Saptami, this chariot, which is circumambulated on Maiji’s ride (Doli Chhatra), is known as Full Rath. Mayinji’s chhatra and doli are brought to the chariot from the temple of Danteshwari Mai. After this, the circumambulation of this chariot is started by the soldiers of Bastar police by giving a gun salute.
Mysore Dussehra: In the 600 year old Dussehra there is neither Ram nor Ravana combustion
In Mysore, Dussehra is celebrated with great pomp after Goddess Chamunda killed the demon Mahisasur.
Mysore’s Dussehra is a wonderful combination of art, culture and joy along with being historically important. Not only India but also people from abroad also reach to see the 600 years old Mysore Dussehra. It is different from other Dussehras as neither Rama nor Ravana’s effigy is burnt here. Rather, Dussehra is celebrated with pomp when Goddess Chamunda killed the demon Mahisasur.
More than 6 lakh tourists visit here every year during Dussehra. The celebration of Dussehra in Mysore lasts for 10 days. There is special lighting in the palace of Mysore on Dussehra. A convoy of elephants decorated with gold and silver leaves the Mysore palace after a 21-gun salute. The elephant leading it has a 750 kg pure gold ambari (throne) on its back, in which the idol of Mata Chamundeshwari is placed.
Dussehra of Delhi: 100 feet effigies of Ravana, Kumbhakaran and Meghnad will be burnt without crackers

Ravan of 90 feet will be burnt in Ramlila Maidan.
