Rajnath Singh Statement: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh gave a statement in Parliament on Tuesday on the violent clash in Tawang. Rajnath Singh said that there was an attempt to change the status quo on 9th December. “A scuffle ensued in this face-off and the Indian Army bravely prevented the PLA from encroaching on our territory and forced them to withdraw to their posts. Some soldiers from both sides suffered injuries in the skirmish,” he said. .”

Rajnath Singh further said, “I want to tell this House that none of our soldiers have died and no one has been seriously injured.” The Defense Minister told that after this incident, the Chinese side has been persuaded to take such action and has been asked to maintain peace on the border. He said that this issue has also been taken up with the Chinese side at the diplomatic level.
‘Flag meeting held on December 11’
Rajnath Singh said that due to the promptness of the commanders of the Indian Army, the PLA soldiers went back to their posts. He said that after this incident, the local commanders of the area held a flag meeting on December 11 and discussed the incident in detail.
