Rain continues in Vidisha: sometimes drizzle and sometimes heavy rain, there is a possibility of crop failure

The spell of rain that started in Vidisha from Wednesday continued on Thursday as well. Sometimes due to heavy and sometimes slow rain, life got disturbed. Many areas were waterlogged, due to which people had to face problems. At the same time, due to this rain, the farmers have lost their sleep.

It has been raining in the district since Wednesday. Due to this the farmers of the district have lost their sleep. Soybean crop is lying in the fields of many farmers in the district, while many farmers were preparing to harvest the standing crop in the fields. In such a situation, there is a possibility of heavy loss to the farmers of the district due to this rain. Due to the rain on Wednesday, the glory of Dussehra festival was faded. The underbridge of Sagar Pulia has been completely closed due to rain. Due to the filling of water in the underbridge built at Saunthia Gate, the movement was stopped from here at night. Due to which thousands of people were seen getting upset during the day.

Highest in Vidisha and lowest in Gulabganj

So far, Vidisha district has recorded an average rainfall of 1553.5 mm, while the average average rainfall of the district is 1075.5 mm. Giving information about the rainfall recorded on Thursday, August 6 on the rain gauges installed in the tehsils of the district, the superintendent of land records said that the district has recorded an average rainfall of 15.8 mm.

Superintendent of Land Records Rajesh Ram said that on Thursday, the tehsil-wise rainfall recorded in the district was 62 mm in Vidisha, 19.6 mm in Basoda, four mm in Sironj, six mm in Lateri, 31 mm in Gyaraspur, 10 mm in Gulabganj, Nateran. 13 mm, Shamshabad and Pathari tehsil have received six mm of rainfall respectively. Rainfall was negligible in Kurwai Tehsil.

Sehore meteorologist SS Tomar had already issued an alert of 80 to 100 mm of heavy rain in the district during October 5 to 7. During this time, the wind speed was expected to be 15 to 16 kmph, thunder of clouds and lightning was also expected in high numbers.
