Railway Employees Bonus: In the festive season, the Modi government has announced to give gifts to 11.27 lakh railway employees. Prime minister Narendra Modi In the cabinet meeting chaired by, it was approved to give bonus equal to 78 days to railway employees for the financial year 2021-22. Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur informed that Productivity Linked Bonus equivalent to 78 days’ salary has been paid to non-gadget railway employees.
According to the Ministry of Railways, due to the railway employees, passenger and goods services have done the work of giving impetus to the economy. Along with this, the railway employees have maintained the supply of things like food items, fertilizers, coal without any interruption during the corona. Railways has ensured that there is no shortage of these things. In 2021-22, Railways has transported 184 million tonnes of freight which is a record till date. According to the Railways, the bonus given to the employees will work as an incentive.
The bonus given to 11.27 lakh railway employees will benefit the economy in this festive season, so it will help in increasing the demand. Rs 1832.09 crore will be spent on giving productivity linked bonus for 78 days. A productivity linked incentive of Rs 7000 per month has been fixed for calculation of bonus. That is, any railway employee can get a maximum bonus of Rs 17,951 for 78 days.

1. Suppose the productivity linked incentive of a railway employee is fixed at Rs 5000 every month, then he will get Rs 13,000 as a bonus of 78.
2. If the productivity linked incentive of a railway employee is fixed at Rs 6000 every month, then he will get Rs 15,600 as bonus for 78 days.
3. If the productivity linked bonus of a railway employee is fixed at Rs 3000 per month, then he will get Rs 7800 for 78 days.
