In order to save the environment, drone mapping of all sand mining sites will be done, through which it will be known 4 times in a year how much sand has been extracted from the site, so that sand cannot be removed more than the prescribed quantity. If more than one has been removed, then another site will be searched.

Arvind Kejriwal, the convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, has described the sand mafia as a business of crores. He said that Punjab has a turnover of 20 thousand crores of sand and gravel in a year.
