Python near Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh: stirred up; Forest department team did rescue, snakes found earlier

A video of a python being found near a swimming pool in Chandigarh’s Sukhna Lake Club has surfaced. After the information about the python being here, there was a stampede here. This information was given to the Chandigarh Forest Department. After which the team reached the spot and rescued the python and took it away from here.

This video is being told from last November 3. The length of the python is said to be 10 to 12 feet. The swimming pool of the Lake Club was closed on October 31 itself. In such a situation, only the staff was present here.

An official of the Lake Club said that due to the lake being surrounded by wooded areas, incidents of snake coming out here are frequent. Thankfully this snake was not poisonous. He said that till now no untoward incident has taken place due to snake bite. The information about the snake is given to the Forest Department.

Snakes have already left
Let us inform that earlier a 10-feet python was caught from near Chandigarh Lake Club on October 14, 2020. After which it was released into the protected Sukhna Wildlife Sanctuary. Its weight was said to be 40 to 50 kg. On June 21, 2020, the python was also caught near the cafeteria of Sukhna Lake. Its length was about 5 feet. ASI Silk Ram of Chandigarh Police caught the python safely. After which it was left in the forest area.

Due to the forest area near Sukhna Lake, snakes often keep coming out here. Sometimes snakes pass easily without anyone’s sight. At the same time, due to the incidents of snakes coming out in public places, panic also spreads among the people.
