Punjab Cabinet Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur launched the online Aashirwad Portal at Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh on Tuesday. Now girls will be able to take advantage of the scheme by applying to the government for financial help while sitting at home for marriage. On this occasion, Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur said that girls applying through this portal will get direct financial benefits in a fair and transparent manner.
Dr. Baljit Kaur said that till December 2022, the application process of Ashirwad Yojana will be kept in both online and offline mode, but from January 2023, only online can be applied for the benefits of this scheme. He said that earlier many people used to show him the slip saying that he had applied but did not get any benefit of the government scheme.
Dr. Baljit Kaur said that girls will get rid of this hassle with this online facility. At the time of applying on the portal, the information about whether the application is accepted or not due to any reason will be given immediately. He said that for the benefit of the Ashirwad scheme, at present, applications can be made by visiting the Tehsil Office, Facilitation Center and District Office.
