Before the main contest in the Lok Sabha elections, the party leaders are running the municipal elections as semi-finals. If we talk about the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, then they have also started preparations for the municipal elections. The MLAs have been entrusted with the responsibility of municipal elections. The MLAs are listening to the problems of the people by taking the officers of the corporation to the wards and also resolving them on the spot.

The MLAs are also taking those people with them who can be their potential candidates in the municipal elections. He is also introducing candidates to the people on the pretext of work. By going among the people, MLAs are asking to meet potential candidates for any work. However, the party high command has already made it clear that the candidates will be selected on the basis of voting for the municipal elections on the same lines as the candidates were selected in the assembly elections.

As far as the Congress in the state is concerned, the party is still not able to come out of its own entanglements. Most of the municipal corporations in Punjab are ruled by the Congress. But everywhere the tussle is at its peak. Congress councilors are opening a front against their mayors. In many places, Congress councilors have already joined the Aam Aadmi Party. This time the way Congress is entangled amongst themselves, the way for its civic elections is not visible at the moment.

The condition in the wards is that despite the current councilor being from the Congress, there is a fight for the ticket. One pomegranate remains in the condition of a hundred sick.
