A similar case came up in IP Colony on Tuesday. The bike-borne thugs, posing as policemen, escaped after taking off four gold bracelets from the woman citing the high crime rate. Police have registered a case.

IP Colony Sector 30 resident Kusum Jain (58) wife Sushil Jain has said in the complaint given to the police that she had gone to SLF Mall on Tuesday around 12 noon to collect the goods. She was returning home from there. Two boys were standing near the house number 154 with a bike. One of them called me and said that Mother, he is calling you. The woman went to another boy, he said, I am a policeman. Take off the bangles you are wearing. Because there is a lot going on here. The woman came under his delusion and took off four gold bracelets and gave them to him. Fake policemen wrapped those bracelets in paper and gave them back. After going some distance, I saw a string and a bangle in the paper, which was fake. On the complaint of the victim, the police has registered a case but the thugs have not been found.
