Surendra Singh, who was sitting on the dharna, said that on May 21, when a young man named Deepu had a fight, he was not at home that day. He was at his younger brother’s house in Hargobind Nagar. He also gave the police footage of CCTV cameras installed at his house and CCTV cameras installed at his brother’s house. After this both of them also resigned. Even the then police commissioner ordered the cancellation of the FIR and the ACP of the area had also assured him to give a copy of the canceled FIR. Surendra’s sister-in-law and Lali’s wife Kuljeet Kaur, who is herself a sarpanch, said that Surendra and Lali were not named in the complaint the day a complaint was filed with Dipu in the police station. He alleged that after two days, MLA Sheetal goes to Angural police station and under pressure, gets both the names registered in the complaint of quarrel. He said that Sheetal Angural did all this because Surendra and Lali are supporters of former Congress MLA Sushil Rinku. He is doing this because of political rivalry.

When DCP Jaskiranjit Singh met Teja after the matter was not quashed, he said that go to the office of MLA Sheetal Angural and negotiate with him.

Women Kuljeet Kaur and Surendra said that the police is pressurizing them to surrender to MLA Sheetal Angural. The false pamphlets on them are not being canceled despite the orders of the higher authorities. Both made allegations that the police is also working on the behest of the MLA. Apart from Surendra and his family members sitting on a dharna at Ravidas Chowk, supporters said that he would not go to the office of MLA Sheetal Angural. They will sit on dharna on the square itself till the paper is canceled. On this occasion, he also raised slogans against the government, MLA and police administration.
