Akali Dal’s demonstration against rising sand prices.
Akali Dal leaders protested against the rising sand prices in Amritsar, Punjab. The Akali leaders said that the price of sand has reached 7500 rupees inside Punjab, but the Bhagwant Mann government has sat down with insistence. Due to which the general public is being harmed. The Akali Dal has called for a meeting of all the parties to find a solution.
Akali Dal leaders reached Jahajgarh on Monday afternoon. Where he also interacted with vendors standing to sell sand trolleys. Akali leader Talbir Gill told that in Punjab the sand has reached 7500 rupees. The loss of which is being paid by the general public. The Aam Aadmi Party government is repeatedly talking about stopping illegal sand mining and taking action against sand-filled tippers and trolleys, but sand is still available in the market. Their prices are out of the pocket of the common man. The Akali Dal alleged that the AAP government had talked about extracting Rs 20000 crore from sand before the elections, but now they have said money. If the government is taking out this money, then where is it going?
Akali leaders have asked the Mann government to convene an all-party meeting on the issue. He says that senior and experienced leaders are sitting in Akali Dal and Congress. If the government convenes a meeting, then a good solution to the problem arising out of sand can be found.
Difficult to get tipper installments
During this, sand traders have also told the AAP government to bring a new policy soon. He says that all the tippers and goods purchased by him are on installments. Now the situation has become such that it is becoming difficult to repay the installments. Apart from this, the labor salary is also not being paid.
