A prisoner lodged in the jail of Shahjahanpur committed suicide by hanging himself in the toilet. When the prisoner did not return for a long time, other prisoners went to the toilet and saw, his body was hanging from the noose of the towel. 32-year-old Shailesh Kumar Gupta, a resident of Dhai village of police station Mirzapur area, was in jail for the last four months in a dowry murder case. On Thursday evening, Shailesh left the barracks and went to the toilet. Where he committed suicide by hanging himself with an iron rod by making a noose with a towel. When Shailesh did not return to the barrack for a long time, other prisoners went to the toilet and saw, his body was hanging from the noose. Only then the prisoners informed the jail administration. Which caused a stir there. After that all the officers including jailer Rajesh Rai reached the spot. After that, the body was sent for post-mortem after informing the relatives. However, after getting the information, the family members reached the post-mortem house. But no charges have been leveled against the jail administration.
