On the occasion of Republic Day, 14 officers and personnel of Haryana Police have been decorated with Police Medal for distinguished and meritorious services by the Union Home Ministry. Of the total 14 medals announced, one police officer will be awarded the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 13 others the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
ASI Devendra Kumar, a resident of Panipat district, is also included in these 13 policemen. Which is working as DIG Law and Order and Reader of Headquarters in Panchkula.
Dedicated the medal to the family and villagers
ASI Devendra Kumar is a resident of Babail village of Panipat. He was recruited in Haryana Police in the year 2001 as a constable. During his 21 years of duty, most of Devendra Kumar’s duty has been VIP duty. Even during the Corona period, he performed his duty with great devotion.
On being selected for the Police Medal, he said that this achievement belongs to the entire village. He dedicates these medals to his higher officials and the entire village. He says that the blessings of his family and villagers are always with him.
There is a lot of happiness, but no words: Sister-in-law Seema
ASI Devendra’s sister-in-law Seema said that this is a very happy occasion. This is such a moment, when we cannot express our happiness in words. Devendra has got the fruits of his hard work and honesty. Millions of difficulties may have come, but never left the path of truth and honesty.
Although his name was sent by the department twice earlier also. During that time age was given priority. But, this time they have been selected. It is a very proud moment.
Received medal for meritorious services
