Police team reached the injured cow smuggler to the hospital
In the case of cow smuggling, the Mathura police had an encounter with the absconding cow smuggler. A cow smuggler was injured in the encounter that took place in the industrial area located in Kosi police station area. The injured cow smuggler has been admitted to the hospital for treatment by the police.
Cow smuggler caught resident of Haryana
Mathura police had an encounter with a cow smuggler late on Thursday evening. In this encounter that took place in the industrial area of police station Kosi area, Jackum alias Jacob, a resident of Utawad Palwal Haryana, was injured due to bullet injury in the leg. Cow smuggler Jackam, who was injured in the encounter, was arrested by the police and admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Two cow smugglers had escaped on 5 September
On the night of 5 September, Mathura police received information about cow smuggling. When the police chased after getting information, the cow smugglers started driving away the vehicle from the highway on Kosi Nandgaon road. On being chased by the police and the cow guards, the cow smugglers steered the car carrying the cows, due to which the car of the cow smuggler overturned near village Surwari. After which the two cow smugglers in it left the car and ran away.
18 cows were in the car
When the police reached the spot, the police recovered 18 cows from the vehicle. Out of which 11 were alive while 7 had died. The police and cow protectors sent the living cow lineage to the cowshed while the dead cow lineage was given samadhi. Earlier, the police searched for the absconding cow smugglers but they managed to escape.
More than a dozen cases are registered against the caught smuggler
More than a dozen cases are registered against the cow smuggler Jackam, who was arrested after the encounter late on Thursday evening. Jackum is used to cow smuggling and animal cruelty. Cases have been registered against him for cow smuggling, cattle smuggling, gangster act, attempt to murder, drug smuggling and illegal arms possession. Police had registered a case against Jackum under Section 3/5/8 Cow Slaughter Act.

The police is now searching for the second cow smuggler who is absconding. It is noteworthy that cow smugglers living in Mewat area smuggle a large number of cows from Mathura and its adjoining districts.
