Caught robbers with police party. Two stolen motorcycles recovered from them
In Jalandhar, Punjab, the police have arrested two robbers who robbed them. The police recovered two stolen motorcycles and a stolen mobile phone from these two robbers. Jalandhar Urban Police caught these two robbers near Folhadiwal Gate on Mithapur road when they were out to rob. Both the robbers had taken off the number plates of the motorcycle so that they could not be caught even after being caught on any CCTV camera.
Police officials said that as usual, CIA Staff-1 of Jalandhar Urban Police along with its in-charge Ashok Kumar was on patrol in the direction of Folhaduwal as part of the campaign launched against the chaotic elements. Meanwhile, the CIA in-charge got information from the informer that Sahil son Sarabjit resident of village Kotli Gujran (Mehatpur, Jalandhar) and Palwinder alias Pinder son Sheetal Singh resident of village Mandiyana (Mahatpur, Jalandhar) had left with the intention of robbery. Both of them carry out incidents of snatching and robbery from people.
Giving information to the CIA in-charge, the informer said that both are coming on a stolen motorcycle to carry out the crime. After the incident, so that no one could be caught, they removed the number plates of the motorcycle. The informer even told that both of these can be caught if a blockade is immediately put up on Mitthapur Rose in Folhariwal itself.
The CEA in-charge, taking action with immediate effect on the basis of the information of the informer, laid his trap on Mithapur road near Folhadiwal Gate. When both the robbers came there, the CIA staff caught them. When asked the names of both, they gave their names as Sahil and Palwinder as told by the informer. After this, when the police asked for the papers of the motorcycle, he could not show it. The police caught both of them and brought them to the police station. The motorcycle on which they had come out to rob was stolen, as well as when the police strictly inquired at the police station, another stolen bike was recovered on their behest. A stolen mobile phone has also been recovered from the robbers.
Police officials say that recently there was snatching on 66 feet road of Jalandhar, that too both of them did it. Police officials said that the interrogation of both the arrested robbers is going on and many more snatching cases are expected to be solved. The police have registered a case against both of them under sections 379, 379B, 411 and police rule 34 of the Indian Penal Code for theft, snatching.
