The main accused in the RPG attack case on the Intelligence Headquarters, Mohali, of the Punjab Police Department, has been brought from Delhi to Mohali by the Punjab Police. Thereafter the accused was produced in the Mohali court. Delhi Police had arrested the accused from Uttar Pradesh. During his interrogation, it was revealed that he was also involved in the RPG attack on the Intelligence Headquarters along with the accused Chadhat Singh.
It is worth noting that the accused minor, who was caught by the Special Cell of Delhi Police, is a resident of Faizabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The connections of the accused were revealed to be linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terrorist Harvinder Rinda, Canada-based Landa Harike and gangster Lawrence along with absconding criminal Jaggu Bhagwanpuria.
According to the officials of the Special Cell, the murder of the main shooter Rana Kandowalia of the enemy faction of the gangster Lawrence gang was carried out in Amritsar on 4 August 2021. In this, along with the minor, 2 other people were involved. After this these same accused killed the builder Sanjay Viyani of Gujarat. It was revealed that this murder was also done by Rinda sitting in Pakistan, for which 9 lakh rupees were given to the shooters.
Significantly, the police had filed a charge sheet in the court in this attack on the night of May 9. Of the total 13 accused, chargesheets were filed against 7 accused. After this, the Punjab Police arrested the accused Chadhat Singh in a joint operation with the Central Agency and ATS Maharashtra. A case was registered against the accused under sections 307, 212, 216, 120-B, Explosives and Arms Act of IPC.
In the chargesheet of the police, the plot of the attack was hatched by the ISI-backed Babbar Khalsa International, Pakistan’s intelligence agency. Terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Rinda in Pakistan had handed over the responsibility of the attack to a minor brought to Mohali and Haryana gangster Deepak Surakhpur. Punjab gangster Lakhwinder Singh Landa also played a role in this attack. Landa is currently in Canada, while Rinda is hiding in Pakistan.
These accused have been caught
In the charge sheet, police have arrested Nishant Singh of Kulla village of Tarn Taran, Jagdeep Singh of Sector-85, Mohali, Kanwarjit Singh (40) of Amritsar, Baljinder Singh Rambo (41) of Patti, Baljit Kaur alias Sukhi (50) of Amritsar, Anantdeep Singh. (32) and Lovepreet Singh Vicky have been made accused. These accused had made the attackers mark the goods and targets. Police also recovered two cars, including an RPG sleeve, an AK-47 rifle, an SUV and a hatchback used in the attack.
Rinda had given lakhs of rupees to the minor
It was revealed in the investigation that terrorist Rinda had given lakhs of rupees to the minor brought to Mohali for the attack. The minor first worked for gangster Lawrence and then went on to work for Rinda. Rinda and Lawrence have also done two target killings with his hands.
