The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a big decision on this.

It has been announced by the Yogi government that the farmers of UP, from whose side the incident of stubble burning came to light, will not be given the money of ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi’ scheme. Burning of stubble in the field is considered a threat to the environment. The Yogi government is very strict to stop the rapidly increasing air pollution.

5 thousand rupees fine
If a farmer is caught burning stubble, then a fine of Rs 2500 will be charged on the farmer having land up to 1 acre. Those farmers who have land of more than 1 acre, they will be fined Rs 5000 for burning stubble. Also, the money of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi will not be given.

In this regard, Arvind Singh, deputy director in the agriculture department, says that such complaints were received continuously. But on the basis of satellite images, action was taken on 23 cases last year. However, this time only one case has come to the fore. It means people are becoming aware. Strict action will be taken against those who burn stubble.
