PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Big change in the rules of registration to take advantage of PM Kisan Yojana


PM Kisan Samman Nidhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will transfer the amount of the 13th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in the account of farmers in the last week of December 2022 or in the first week of January of the new year 2023. But the farmers who have not got their e-KYC done, then they should get their KYC done immediately or else the amount of 13th installment will not come in the bank account.

Ration card mandatory for new registration!
Those farmers who have not yet registered under PM Kisan Yojana, then such people will need a ration card to register. Those farmers who do not have ration card, they should get the ration card made immediately. The government has made ration card mandatory for registration in PM Kisan Yojana. Such people were also taking advantage of this scheme who were not eligible to take advantage of it. To prevent this fraud, a copy of the ration card will have to be uploaded on the portal while registering. The installment of Rs 2,000 of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi will be available only after the ration card number is entered on the portal. To take advantage of PM Kisan Yojana, during registration, soft copies of documents will have to be uploaded on the portal along with the mandatory ration card.

KYC is required
The government has made e-KYC mandatory to take advantage of PM Kisan Yojana. The money of the 12th installment will be transferred to the account of those farmers who have got their KYC done. If you have not done KYC till now, then the money of 13th installment will not come in your account. Without e-KYC your 13th installment will get stuck. The process of KYC can be completed online.

What is PM Kisan Yojana?
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the government gives financial assistance of Rs 6,000 every year to the farmers. This amount is transferred to the account of farmers in three equal installments of two thousand rupees each. Installments come every four months i.e. thrice a year, 2000-2000 rupees are sent to the farmers’ account under the scheme. The central government transfers this money directly to the farmers’ account. Till now 12 installments of two thousand rupees each have been transferred in the accounts of farmers. Prime Minister in October 2022 Narendra Modi had transferred the amount of the 12th installment to the farmers’ account.
