People are forced to live hellish life in Upkar Nagar falling in Lamma Pind in Jalandhar city of Punjab. People are facing the problem of sewerage since last one week. Due to sewerage block, sewerage water has started coming back in the houses of the people. The sewerage water has also been filled in the streets.

Even the sewerage water has got mixed in the water which is coming to the houses. Mohalla resident Rajinder Kaur said that this problem has been going on for about a week. I have told the Municipal Corporation officials many times, including the councillor, but no hearing is being done anywhere.

Sewerage is hitting back. The sewerage water is filled in the street. It has become difficult for people to leave their homes. The way dirty water has spread in the street number four of Upkar Nagar, the situation has become such that an epidemic can spread here anytime. The water is not fit for drinking.

Please tell that this problem is not only in Upkar Nagar, but sewerage system has failed in most parts of the city. From the posh areas of the city to all the colonies in the outer, almost all the sewerage water is roaming in the streets. The corporation has stopped water supply in many localities.
