According to the National Earthquake Measurement Centre, a 6.6 magnitude earthquake struck at 2:12 pm and its epicenter was in the Khaptad National Park area in Doti. The Earthquake Measurement Center said that an earthquake of 5.7 magnitude made Dipayal the epicenter of the quake at 9:07 pm. Even after that, tremors were felt again and again. Tremors of the earthquake were also felt in Bajhang, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Banke, Rukum West. From the late night of November 8 to the morning of November 9, many tremors of the earthquake were felt.
Police officer Bhola Bhatta said that 6 people died due to earthquake in ward number 3 Garagaon of Doti’s East Chowki Rural Municipality. Ramprasad Upadhyay, president of the Rural Municipality, said that 6 people of the same house have died. According to the district police office, the dead include Bhagwati Bohra, Sita Bohra, Harak Bohra, Prem Bohra, Tulsi Bohra and Dhansari Bohra of East Chowki Rural Municipality-3 Thadangaon.
