UAE Labor Law: Losing the job of any person is like a scary dream for that person. But if you are working in a private company in United Arab Emirates (UAE), then this risk is reduced to a great extent. Many rights have been provided to the people under the labor law here. Which are very useful.
30 days notice period
According to Article 43 of the labor law here, a notice period of 30 to 90 days has to be served. Whether the company is firing a person or the person is leaving the job due to some better opportunity. This notice period can be canceled in special circumstances with the consent of both the parties.
Gratuity
Employees are also entitled to receive their gratuity on the basis of their tenure. The condition in this is that the person should have completed at least one year of continuous service.

- 21 working days’ pay for each of the first 5 years of service.
- 30 working days’ pay for each subsequent year of service.
experience certificate
As per the law it is the obligation of a company in the private sector to provide experience certificate to the employee. When the person leaves the company, it is the duty of the company to provide him the termination certificate without any charge.
Salary will be given for the remaining annual leave
According to the labor law here, an employee is entitled to pay for his vacation days. If he leaves the job before its use, regardless of its duration, if he does not use them. It is calculated on the basis of basic salary.
return ticket cost
You are also entitled to a return ticket to your home country if you are from another country and do not wish to work in the UAE any further. In this case the company you last worked for will bear the cost of your ticket.
