stubble field fire

The cases of stubble burning in Punjab are not stopping. The cases of fire in the fields are increasing continuously. The Punjab government’s own Pollution Control Board is releasing the statistics of stubble burning reported on remote sensing, but the Punjab government itself does not trust those figures. The Punjab government says that as much as the figures are being shown, there is no stubble burning in Punjab.

Last yesterday, Agriculture Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal and Minister looking after Pollution Control Board Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare denied the figures of their own Pollution Control Board and said that an attempt was being made to defame Punjab. In Delhi, stubble smoke has created gas chambers, schools have been closed by imposing a health emergency, and both Punjab ministers are saying that the pollution is caused by the burning of stubble in Haryana. He told the level of pollution of the cities of Haryana in the press conference.

However, the situation on the ground is such that a thick layer of smoke has formed in the sky and the level of pollution in the air is reaching 300 by evening and night in the cities.
