Para commandos of village Baramai in the area lost their lives in a parachute accident that took place during the maneuvers on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh on Monday. The commando’s family is in shock after the incident. The body of the para commando will be brought to the village late on Tuesday evening.

Sugriv Singh, a resident of Baramai, has four sons. The elder son Omveer is posted in the Indian Army in Ladakh. The second son is Harveer Singh Para Commando, who is posted in Agra. The third son Premveer Singh is serving in the Uttar Pradesh Police. The younger son Hemant looks after the agricultural work in the village. Harveer Singh was selected in the 22 Raj Rifles Indian Army in 2002. The first posting was in Delhi.

Father Sugriv Singh has told that Harveer Singh was born for the country. For his gallantry, Harveer Singh was awarded the Sena Medal on the occasion of Independence Day.
