EHC Ashish Kumar and his resignation letter.
Haryana Police employee EHC Ashish Kumar has resigned from his job making serious allegations against Panipat Police. Ashish Kumar has resigned stating 100 percent involvement of the police in serious cases like gambling, drug and illicit liquor.
He reached the mini secretariat at 1 am, from where he went to the SP office. SP Shashank Kumar Sawan asked him to submit his resignation to the English branch through Army Clerk (OASI) branch. After this, while doing this process, he submitted his resignation to the English branch.
There is speculation whether any action will be taken on the serious allegations leveled against the police department in the resignation letter itself or whether Ashish Kumar will be discharged after accepting his resignation.

It is written in the resignation letter
In the resignation letter given to the SP, EHC Ashish Kumar said that I was posted in Tehsil Camp police station area during encroachment and traffic duty on 19th, 20th and 21st September 2022. During my posting, I had caught gambling, drugs and illegal liquor. These illegal works are going on under the protection of the police.
On September 21, the police reached the spot in plain uniform and helped the drug smugglers to escape. In this way, being hurt by the illegal work going on under police protection, I am compelled to leave the job of the police department and retire. My conscience cannot see such things happening.
While I am also an employee in Haryana Police. Therefore, such activities should be stopped with immediate effect. If the police is not able to stop these actions then I want to quit my job. May my design be approved.
