actors Palak Purswani opened up about the time when she found out her ex-boyfriend and actor Avinash Sachdev had cheated on her. She said it happened on the sets of her show Durga-Mata Ki Chayya and she battled depression. Palak and Avinash starred in Big Boss OTT 2 and stayed in the same house till Palak was evicted recently. Bigg Boss OTT 2 is being hosted by Salman Khan. Last week, Palak was evicted after Avinash Sachdeva, Jiya Shankar and Bebika were also nominated for eviction. The second season of the reality show started on June 17 on Jio Cinema.

Talking to India Today, Palak shared her reaction when she got to know Avinash had cheated on her. She said, “When this incident of cheating happened, I was on the sets of Durga – Mata Ki Chayya. Simran (Budharup) was right in front of me. I broke down and I cried. She was like ‘What happened?’ I told her this is what had happened. And she has seen my whole journey. I was badly in depression and she has pulled me out of it.”
She praised her friend who helped her in the situation and added, “That girl has witnessed the phase that I have been through. It has taken me a lot of time to get out of that relationship. I am still single and it’s difficult for me to trust a man today in my life. So, when she saw the episode, she was actually full of rage, thinking that yeh baat Palak tak pohoch nahi paa rahi hai (Palak should see this). Whatever she could do from outside, she did it. I think she did the very right thing. I am very proud of her. At least, she backed me up. Usne bola tha (she told me) ‘I got you bro’. She meant that.

Avinash dated his Chotti Bahu co-actor Rubina Dilaik and parted ways in 2012. He later married his Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? Ek Baar Phir actor Shalmalee Desai in 2015. They divorced in 2017. In 2019, the actor started dating Palak but broke up after more than four years.
Besides Palak and Avinash, this season’s contestants included Bebika Dhurve, Jiya Shankar, Aaliya Siddiqui, Falaq Naazz, Akanksha Puri, Jad Hadid, Cyrus Broacha, Manisha Rani, Abhishek Malhan, and Pooja Bhatt. Aaliya recently got evicted from the house while social media influencer Puneet Superstar was evicted within 12 hours of the show going on air.
