Pakistan reached many years behind the devastation of floods, animals dying of hunger, people were fascinated by grain

Pakistan Flood: The devastating floods in Pakistan, which is facing economic crisis, have made the situation worse. Due to the floods, a large number of houses have been destroyed, fields have been destroyed, petrol pumps have been submerged. In the pictures that have come out, ruin is being seen everywhere. At the same time, the flood has caused maximum destruction in Sindh province of Pakistan.

This kind of flood has been seen for the first time in the history of Pakistan. One third of the country is submerged in floods. To drain the water, Pakistani engineers broke the wall of Manchar Lake, the country’s largest freshwater lake, and diverted the water, although this increased the danger to villages and cities.

NASA Earth released photo

Three parts are visible in the released picture of NASA Earth. If you look at the first part, then this picture is from June 25, in which you can see the Manchar lake of Pakistan, which is in the Jamshoro district of Sindh province of Pakistan and is in the west of the Indus river. Indus river is very close to it. See the second picture for what happens in monsoon. On August 28, the water of Manchar Lake had started rising towards the residential areas and then on September 5, if you see the picture, then Manchar Lake had become dilapidated. Manchar burst and its water entered the villages instead of entering the Sindh river.

Crop of 10 lakh acres destroyed by flood

The cultivated land around Manchar Lake is very fertile, but now that land has also been submerged in flood waters. Floods have taken away from food grains to drinking water in Pakistan. Pakistani newspaper reports that cotton cultivation in Sindh and Punjab has been ruined. About 10 lakh acres of cotton crop has been destroyed due to the floods. Apart from this, 6 lakh acres of rice, one lakh acres of dates and about 7 lakh acres of sugarcane have been destroyed. At the same time, 50% of the vegetables have also been wasted. At the same time, talking about the total loss, crops worth 2.2 lakh crores have been ruined in Pakistan, which is about 3 percent of the total GDP of Pakistan.

Pakistan started looking like an ocean from above – PM Shahbaz Sharif

This year Pakistan may need to import about 2.5 million bales of cotton. However, despite such wastage, the Government of Pakistan is not in the mood to import cotton from India. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, while visiting the flood-affected areas, said that Pakistan has started looking like an ocean from above, but the agenda of Kashmir is still stopping them from taking decisions in the interest of its people.

Look at these figures for how terrible the picture of devastation in Pakistan is…

The death toll from the floods has reached close to 1400.
Pakistan’s road network of 6689 km has been destroyed.
17 lakh 39 thousand houses of the general public have been destroyed.
