‘OYO’ starts internal probe into video leak of couples in Noida hotel


Oyo Video Leak Case: Recently, a case of leaking of pornographic videos of couples came to light at OYO Hotel in Noida. After which the Noida Police has arrested two people in the video case of couples made with hidden cameras and now Oyo has started an internal investigation in this matter. The accused had carried out this incident in a cunning manner. Both the accused were staying in a hotel room located in Phase-III police station area last month and before leaving the room, they carried out the incident by installing a hidden camera there.

Police officials said that both the accused again booked the room there again and took out the installed camera and took it back. Through which both those accused had recorded the intimate situation of the couple and they both again started blackmailing the couples. His videos started threatening to go viral on social media. The victim couples informed the police about the incident, after which the police engaged in the investigation of the case arrested both the accused Vishnu Singh and Abdul Wahab.

The ADCP said that the hotel staff were questioned about the incident, but till now their role in the incident has not been revealed. The hotel and its staff have not yet been found involved in the incident. The accused had already stayed in the hotel. After getting this information, the police is contacting the people who have stayed there in recent days to confirm whether anyone else has also received calls for money or not.

Although no official comment has been made from Oyo on this episode regarding the entire incident, but people associated with the company said that they are investigating the matter internally. According to sources, Oyo does not operate any hotels or guest houses. Rather, it only lists verified assets on its platform and provides IT-based support to them.

Making a private video viral is a very heinous crime. For this, there is a provision for strict action in the law. A case is registered against the accused under Section 354C of IPC and IT Act. Under this section, there is a provision of imprisonment for one to five years and fine on conviction. There are various sections in the IT Act. There are provisions for different punishment under all.
