Cyber ​​Police has arrested two people who cheated a person living in Bhopal’s Babadian Kala by becoming an officer of an electricity company. Among them, one youth is a sweeper and the other a tailor in Noida. The accused had cheated the youth of Rs 3 lakh from the account of the youth by installing Anydesk (Mirror App). This was disclosed by the Deputy Commissioners of Police Amit Singh and Shailendra Singh Chauhan on Monday.

Police said that Keshav Singh, a resident of Babadian Kala in the capital, was sent a message on mobile to disconnect the connection for not paying the outstanding electricity bill. In this, Noida sweepers Nitin and Taylor Ajay gave their own mobile numbers to pay the outstanding electricity bill online. AnyDesk (Mirror App) was downloaded in the mobile when Keshav Singh clicked on the given link for payment of outstanding bill.

Both the accused started calling Keshav Singh for payment of the outstanding bill. During this, with the help of Anydesk, the accused found out the password and UPI PIN of Keshav Singh’s mobile. Also, Rs 3 lakh was withdrawn from Keshav Singh’s account. Singh came to know about this through a message from the bank. After this, he had lodged an FIR for online fraud in the cyber police station.

Both the accused have studied till 9th
Police said that Nitin, who works as a sweeper, has studied till 9th ​​standard. Similarly, Ajay has also studied till 9th ​​standard. In the name of not paying electricity bill dues to cheat people, people used to make messages and calls by becoming electricity officers. During this time, the consumers who used to say that the bills were not due, used to send them links to inform them about the connection updation with the threat of disconnecting the electricity connection. According to the police, a case of cybercrime is already registered against Ajay in Delhi.
