There is a dispute between the AAP government of Punjab and Governor Purohit over the assembly session called on 27 September. Earlier, the government had called a special session of the assembly on 22 September, the approval of which was withdrawn. Now in a letter sent by the Secretary of the Punjab Legislative Assembly on the re-convened session, the Governor has asked what legislative business is to be done in this session.

In the letter, the agenda of the system has been asked to be told. Taking a strong reaction to this, CM Mann has tweeted saying that the consent of the Governor or the President is a formality before any session of the Assembly. In 75 years no president or governor has ever asked for a list of legislative business before convening a session. Legislative work is decided by the Business Advisory Committee and the Speaker. Now it is too much.

It is noteworthy that Governor Banwarilal Purohit withdrew the approval for the special session convened on September 22. After this, the Punjab government had decided to convene the session on September 27 in the cabinet meeting, but the details of the legislative business asked by the Raj Bhavan were not given. However, in the video message released by CM Mann, it has been said that the government wants to get a debate on the issue of electricity and stubble.
